Marni graduated from Foothills College of Massage Therapy in Calgary, Alberta in 2004. She has also completed several courses through The Upledger Institute for Craniosacral Therapy (CST), and teaches courses on Access Bars consciousness.
Marni began her career in a prestigious spa and hotel in Vancouver Island as a Registered Massage Therapist, but was extensively trained in customer service and management. She came to realize that the best way to provide an exceptional client experience is to provide a supportive environment for therapists. She chose to found Muscle Elements in 2007 to create a holistic healing centre that provides the quality of care of a clinic, with the peace and tranquility of a spa.
Marni believes that for a person to be healthy and happy, all aspects of an individual need to be in harmony: physical, mental and spiritual. She supports her therapists to lead by example in working on their own holistic health and to always be learning so that they can better support their clients. Making small changes adds up to big results over time.
“I chose to become a Registered Massage Therapist because I felt it was my calling. When I was 7 years old, I used to massage my grandfather’s feet, who had Multiple Sclerosis, believing that I could help him walk again. It was inspiring when he could wiggle his toes!”
