JeeSun completed the manual osteopathic therapy program at the Manual Osteopathic College of Canada in Edmonton, Alberta in 2019. She also completed a 2,200-hour massage therapy diploma from the MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in 2009. She has continued her education by studying stamina massage therapy, craniosacral therapy, myofascial cupping, and Physiokey training, a non-invasive neuro-stimulator for the treatment of acute and chronic pain.
JeeSun loves working at Muscle Elements because of the warm atmosphere and because of the leadership and mentorship of the founder, Marni Way. She grew up in South Korea where traditional Chinese medicine and conventional medicine co-exist in harmony. She learned that supporting the body as an integral unit could help regain its normal equilibrium of form and function, in health and strength. She believes that good health means that a person is well-balanced in all aspects: physical, biological, and psycho-social. Thus, health is true wealth.
“I have learned, witnessed and experienced that we can prevent and resolve some of our health concerns through therapeutic methods, such as massage and acupuncture, and I want to pass on my knowledge to my clients – a core value of mine and of Muscle Elements. I see myself as a facilitator who can encourage and assist people to take better care of themselves.”
