Craniosacral Therapy

A gentle, hands-on treatment that focuses on eliminating restrictions to enable the physiological motion of all the bones of the skull, including the face and the mouth, as well as the vertebral column, sacrum, coccyx (tail bone) and pelvis. By gently manipulating the skull bones at the sutures (those fibrous joints that hold bones together in the skull), craniosacral therapists seek to realign the bones so that they move in sync with one another, allowing the cerebrospinal fluid to circulate freely (cushions and bathes the brain and spinal cord, bringing nutrients and flushing away wastes). CST may provide some relief of such symptoms as: TMJ dysfunction, ringing in the ears, brain/spinal cord dysfunction, headaches, depression and any number of chronic aches and pains throughout your body.
1/2hr – $55
3/4hr – $70
1hr – $85
1.5hr – $115

Relaxation Body Massage

A treatment designed to increase circulation and flexibility while relieving muscle aches using lighter pressure. Find harmony as the body heals, the spirit lifts and time is yours once more.
1/2hr – $55
3/4hr – $70
1hr – $85
1.5hr – $115

Deep Tissue Massage

The therapists’ movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and specifically located on areas of tension and pain, the goal being to realign the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Extremely effective for relieving chronic conditions (such as stiff necks, sore shoulders, and low back tightness) by physically breaking down bands of rigid tissue (called adhesions) to relieve pain, stiffness and restore movement.
Athletes who suffer from tight muscles, decreased flexibility and pain throughout their body will benefit greatly from this type of massage.
1/2hr – $55
3/4hr – $70
1hr – $85
1.5hr – $115

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese modality in which fine needles are inserted into the body at specific points to treat health problems. ‘Qi’ (pronounced chi, a fine, essential substance which nourishes and constructs the body) flows through distinct channels that cover the body similar to the way nerves and blood vessels do. Acupuncture adjusts the flow of qi in the body, restoring the natural harmonious balance. Common ailments acupuncture can help include:
Respiratory Disorders — colds and flus, asthma, allergies, sinusitis.
Gastrointestinal Disorders — food allergies, nausea, indigestion, ulcers, colitis.
Circulatory Disorders — hypertension, high cholesterol, arteriosclerosis.
Gynecological Disorders — menstrual irregularity, endometriosis, PMS, infertility.
Musculoskeletal Disorders — frozen shoulder, TMJ, sciatica, low back pain, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia.
Psychoemotional Disorders — depression, anxiety, insomnia, headache, migraine.
In addition to traditional acupuncture, you can also book Cupping, Immune Boosting Treatment, and Auricular Therapy.

Naturopathic Medicine

Unlike traditional medicine that seeks to ‘solve’ a ‘problem’ with the body using medication, Naturopathy focuses on the body’s ability to heal itself through treatment of the whole person and the root cause of illness or pain, rather than just it’s symptoms. Holistic healing uses clinical nutrition and supplementation, lifestyle and dietary counseling, acupuncture, herbal medicine, homeopathy and Traditional Chinese medicine to prevent future illness though an individualized wellness program designed with you rather than for you.

I have been going to Muscle Elements since it opened, and even though I moved back to downtown Edmonton, I won't go anywhere else!
Every massage therapist is fantastic, even if they're new, I always feel like I'm floating all the way home! Many thanks!

For the past 2 years I have been happily using the services at Muscle Elements. I take advantage of the infared sauna prior to massage, an excellent way to detox, relax, and loosen my muscles. Marni has always been a consummate professional, sure to ask questions related to my needs before every session. Her deep tissue massages work through my kinks, and leave me feeling relaxed and relieved. She always has suggestions for nutrition and stretching that I can use at home too. I have also been utilizing the acupuncture services of Nicole. She takes a holistic approach to my health, and has provided me with immense relief for joint problems in my elbow, knees and shoulders. She always has new ideas for at home therapies that I can use. Thank you to everyone at Muscle Elements for the excellent, professional services that I receive. You truly make my life better!
